The Establishment Christian Right leadership has again
promoted and endorsed Establishment candidates in the Republican primary.
What’s interesting this time around is that the Evangelical rank and file is no

Federal courts cannot be trusted to limit federal power,
and federal politicians cannot be trusted to limit their own power. Only the
states and the people can do it now.
What this gets down to is the power of the people. When enough people
tell the Feds to pound sand, and enough states pass laws backing them up,
there’s not much the Feds can do to force their unconstitutional laws, rules,
regulations or mandates down our throats.

Does the Federal Government have complete control over
the States?
The Myths
The Federal Government has complete control over the States. The States must comply with
all laws passed by the US Congress.
The Federal Government can own and control land inside of a State and determine how that land is used.
The Truth
The States must comply with laws passed by the US
Congress only if the laws do not violate the United States Constitution. If the
laws are unconstitutional the States are free to disregard them. If the States
believe the laws are unconstitutional they do not have to wait for the Supreme
Court to declare them unconstitutional.
The Constitution does not grant the Federal Government the authority to
regulate the lives of the citizens living inside of the States or the land
inside the borders of the States therefore these laws are
unconstitutional.
The US Constitution only granted the Federal Government the power to take 10 square miles from the states of Virginia and Maryland to build Washington DC.
The US Constitution
grants the Federal Government the authority to buy land from the States for the
sole purposes of creating forts, arsenals, magazines, dock yards, and
buildings. These purchases must be made
with the consent of the State legislatures.
We need a resistance movement to stop out-of-control
government
Today, federal agencies, using those Supreme Court decisions
and vaguely worded statutes, are constrained only by the limits of their
imaginations.
As Tocqueville foresaw, government now “covers the surface
of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform.” We
live not under tyranny but a state that “compresses, enervates, extinguishes,
and stupefies a people.”
Effect change through the ballot box?
Not a chance. There are two parties. One is for big government,
the other is for really shockingly huge government. Murray has lost patience with the ordinary
democratic process.
He suggests willful, determined, sustained resistance: “to
make large portions of the Federal Code of Regulations unenforceable. I want to
make government into an insurable hazard, like flood, fire, or locusts.”
