Subject: Danbury Forum

One of the three Connecticut anti illegal immigrant activist groups, United States Citizens for Immigtration Law Enforcement, held a forum at the Rogers Park Middle School, Danbury, Connecticut Saturday evening February 25th, 2006. An estimated 100 people attended. The groups President is Elise Marciano. Both of the other Connecticut groups attended also.

There was a master of ceremonies, Wayne Winsley, who is a black man and a popular radio talk show host in the Danbury area. He was excellent. Level, balance, intelligent, eloquent. Someone to be very proud to call an American. Among his many quips was one which proves that logic can prevail. He said whenever your go to a motel you are required to just "check in". We are asking the illegal immigrants who want to come to our country to "just check in".

First speaker was Peter Gadiel. His son was a victim of 9/11. He was in one of the twin towers of the WTC. He heads one of the Connecticut groups 9/11 Families for A Secure America: http://www.911fsa.org/index.html. His message was powerful.

Second speaker was Michael Cutler, an INS agent for 30 years, retired. He worked the New York JFK area and had many anecdotes to tell. Some quite incredible. He is a liberal democrat and jewish but he is also powerfully against illegal immigration and understands the deplorable travesty occurring now with the present administration. He was assured, very professional, very experienced, incisive, believeable and very credible.

Third speaker was Sandra Gunn, field/associate-government relations. representative for FAIR, Federation for American Imigration Reform.

Her group is the biggest immigration reform lobby entity in Washington. Sandra gave the participants many valuable suggestions on how to become more active and effective. She had many publications/handouts. And it she who sents out the E-mail notices to us. A great girl and a dedicated patriot to be proud of. Americas finest for sure, enthusiastic, wellspoken, attractive, dedicated. Our future generations will be in good hands with Americans like Sandra.

Fourth speaker was Terry Anderson, black, a Los Angeles radio talk show host.

This is a unique individual. Very eloquent, articulate, colloquial, amusing, big, imposing, forceful, great voice fantastic message. He wears old farmers bib overalls. It only took him 60 seconds to have everyone awake and on the edge of their seat. He is no nonsense, to the point, forget political correctness, tell it like it is and that is exactly what he did. Great, refreshing. He received applause after applaude. He really motivated his audience. Terry displayed a remarkable understanding of all of the problems facing us. He was well balanced, rational, sensible, believable, seasoned, experienced, wise. A very worthy person to call a friend and a true blue American. You will know where you stand with Terry;

A couple of Terryism's

* When the Mexican girls have anchor babies here we call them the Jackpot babies.

* George Bush is the puppet and Vicente Fox is the Puppeteer.

* Terry said that back when his children went to school 20 years ago the school was 90% black. Now it is 94% Latino. That is not racial diversity.

* There was the KKK and now it is the K-tan.

A forum on illegal immigration at Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury drew about 100 people.
DANBURY —— An illegal immigration forum with national speakers brought protest and support Saturday night.
The local group, U.S. Citizens for Immigration Law Enforcement, which has argued for illegal immigrants to be deported, sponsored the event.

Nearly 50 people lined outside the entrance of Rogers Park Middle School for the 7 p.m. event, protesting the event as divisive.

They carried signs like "No human being is illegal" and "Let's Respect Each Other's Differences"

"Danbury is all one people," said Danbury resident Leonel Villavicencio, who helped organize the protest.

Villavicencio said it bothered him the forum was held in a local school.

"A school is supposed to be about love," he said.

Inside, the forum featured several national speakers, including Terry Anderson, a radio talk show host from Los Angeles who focuses on illegal immigration; and Michael Cutler, a former federal immigration officer.

The speakers decried claims they were racist. They stated it wasn't immigrants they were against but illegal immigrants. They argued that illegal immigrants stretched American resources and could be unknown threats.

"Any country without secure borders couldn't stand like a house without walls," Cutler told the crowd of about 100 people. "And yet, we're a house without walls."

Another speaker, Peter Gadiel, argued that an illegal immigrant's background can't be accounted for. Gadiel's son, James, died in the World Trade Center attacks while working in the North Tower.

"Any illegal immigrant may be a terrorist sent by Bin Laden or a violent thug," he said.

Anderson argued that he understood why people moved into America. But they should not come illegally.

"Stay home and build a country you will not run away from," he said.

Danbury resident Sandy Murphy said she came to the event as a "silent protester."

Murphy said Danbury was about "love, respect, tolerance. What they're saying is hate and exclusion."

She called the speakers' statements about opposing illegal immigration "just a smokescreen."

Danbury resident Elise Marciano, who organized the forum, said she hoped the event brought change.

"What I want this to do is wake people up and get them motivated to act," Marciano said.

Danbury police said there were no arrests or problems at either the protest or forum.

And here is my E-mail letter the editor:

Editor:

I attended the meeting sponsored by United States Citizens for Immigration Law Enforcement at the Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury. I have been involved with the problems of illegal immigration for many years, I know many activists and I have attended many meetings in several states. I have yet to ever hear one single word uttered by any of them that could be construed as racist.

Wayne Winsley was the master of ceremonies. He is a black man and a popular radio talk show host in the Danbury area. Terry Anderson, one of the speakers, is also a black man from California and also a radio talk show host. Neither of these two gentlemen would have appeared if they believed the group was in any way racist. As Terry pointed out eloquently the real racists are in reality the Latino/Hispanic proponents of uncontrolled illegal immigration and the continuation of anarchy.

Terry pointed out that his community in California has been completely overrun with Latino/Hispanics. His local schools demographics changed over 20 years from being 90% black Americans to 94% Hispanic foreigners. As he said: That is not racial diversity.

The speakers, Peter Gadiel 9/11 victim, Michael Cutler former INS agent for 30 years, Sandra Gunn Field director for FAIR and Terry Anderson all spoke logic, truth, rationality, patriotism and equality. Their messages are unassailable. As Wayne Winsley said: If you want to come to our country, just "check in". That's not unreasonable.
