On April 17, 2009, the Orange County Board of Supervisors agreed to pay $3.75 million, plus an additional $900,000 in medical expenses to an illegal alien who was severely beaten by other inmates in the Orange County Central Jail. The Mexican national filed a lawsuit shortly after the incident.Fernando Ramirez, 24, was in jail after being charged with molesting a 6-year-old girl at a local park. He eventually pled guilty to the lesser charge of battery against a child.According to his attorney, Ramirez suffered brain damage and now needs help walking. Attorney Mark Eisenberg also claims that his client has been left with an intellect of a 4-year-old child.

Three times in the history of the United States US Presidents took what would today be considered a politically unpopular position by rounding up and deporting illegal aliens to create jobs for US Citizens. The first attempt occurred shortly after the banker-induced Stock Market Crash of 1929 when President Herbert Hoover ordered the round-up and deportation of illegals by the US Immigration and Naturalization Service. The program, dubbed "Operation Wetback," was carried out without any protests from US government-funded Hispanic advocacy groups—since there were none. The Clintonesque-liberal media political correctness dictionary was still 63 years in the future and the communist-left FDR (America's white Barack Obama) federal bureaucracy was still some 4-years in the making....
We now have approximately 25 million illegal aliens in the United States (even though the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that number at around 7.3 million). It's time to demand, under threat of impeachment, that Barack Hussein Obama launch Operation Wetback IV, and complete the job started by Hoover and Eisenhower.

In a rare case for a state that has long offered illegal immigrants sanctuary, an appellate court in Oregon has ruled in favor of a state agency that denied an illegal alien costly public services based on her immigration status.Oregon’s largest regulatory agency, the Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS), rejected a claim to provide and illegal immigrant vocational assistance benefits after a 2005 work injury that resulted in a permanent impairment. The DCBS, which administers state workers’ compensation and occupational safety laws, still awarded the illegal alien an undisclosed award for the impairment. However, the woman (Carmen Carreon) wanted more taxpayer-financed perks in the form of vocational assistance. The agency determined that she was ineligible for the benefit because she was not authorized to work in the United States. Carreon had the audacity to sue the DCBS for denying her the services, claiming that the agency’s director overreached by creating an eligibility requirement not granted by Oregon’s legislature. The Oregon Court of Appeals disagreed, ruling this week that state law grants the agency’s director the authority to establish additional conditions for providing vocational assistance. Imposing a rule that requires a person to be legally authorized to work in the United States is a valid exercise of the authority granted to the director, the court said in its decision. Public agencies seldom reject illegal immigrants in Oregon, which has a statewide sanctuary law prohibiting police agencies and local governments from using any resources to apprehend or report illegal aliens. The state’s largest city—Portland—has its own official sanctuary ordinance aside from the blanket measure.
These sorts of protections have evidently emboldened illegal immigrants who are increasingly taking legal action against government agencies for denying their “rights.” In the last few months alone, illegal aliens across the nation have sued various law enforcement agencies for violating their constitutional rights. Among them is an Ohio sheriff who helped deport a Mexican with false identification cards, a Maryland sheriff who arrested an illegal Salvadoran...

The Wall Street Journal reports on John McCain’s increasing disconnect with Arizona’s GOP voters.The issues that divide him from the Republican base are numerous, but McCain’s 2008 vote for the $700 billion bank bailout and his opposition to President George W. Judicial Watch issued its Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2009″ list a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been waiting for MSM coverage of this story–as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Geithner, Eric Holder, Charles Rangel, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, John Murtha, Roland Burris, Rep. Jesse Jackson, and John Ensign are this year’s trophy winners.
For the record, Ensign is the only Republican and President Bush has never been on the list. I wonder if the Ds and Rs were flipped, if the MSM would have covered the story because I have not been able to find anything on this story from the major networks. I found the story handily on the FoxNation but nowhere else in the MSM.

This chapter may be cited as the "Subversive Activities Registration Act."
SECTION 23-29-20. Definitions.
For the purposes of this chapter the following words, phrases and terms are defined as follows:
(1) "Subversive organization" means every corporation, society, association, camp, group, bund, political party, assembly, body or organization, composed of two or more persons, which directly or indirectly advocates, advises, teaches or practices the duty, necessity or propriety of controlling, conducting, seizing or overthrowing the government of the United States, of this State or of any political subdivision thereof by force or violence or other unlawful means;

Federal agents have targeted more than a dozen local bus companies they say shuttled scores of illegal immigrants to destinations across the U.S., vowing to continue cracking down on smuggling organizations’ transportation networks.ICE Assistant Secretary John Morton was in Houston on Wednesday to announce results of a three-month operation focused on Houston-area smuggling by transportation companies, saying federal agents charged 22 suspects with conspiracy to transport illegal immigrants.
Federal agents executed nine search warrants Tuesday morning and targeted 14 businesses, including one on the city’s southeast side that Morton said used armed guards and pit bulls to hold passengers in a stash house before they were smuggled on to their final destinations.

The Department of Homeland Security has outsourced intelligence, detention, communications, and even oversight functions. Its National Operations Center, designed as the government's information clearinghouse on homeland threats, is one of the department's chief outsourcers. In large part the over-reliance on private contractors has led to system failures in such DHS projects as SBInet (the chronically mismanaged, over-budget, and unproven virtual fence), the Coast Guard's Deepwater project, and its dysfunctional information system about homeland threats. Since the department's creation in March 2003 DHS officials have continuously promised congressional oversight committees that the department would reduce its dependence on private contractors as it consolidated. But little has improved and outsourcing is rising. . . .

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration is proposing to scale back some border
security programs set up after the 9/11 attacks and ramp up aviation
security following the attempted Christmas bombing, in what some
conservative lawmakers say is a dangerous priority shift.
Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Ky., the top Republican on the House panel overseeing the
Department of Homeland Security's budget, says the border security funding
in President Obama's budget for fiscal year 2011 is "woefully inadequate"
and "as dangerous as it is indefensible.

Clay County Attorney Michael Houchins on Friday confirmed a decision from the Iowa Supreme Court to deny further review of the 1997 gang-related murder of Estherville teenager Gregory Sky Erickson.Judge Don Courtney found former Estherville restaurant owner Juan Humberto Castillo-Alvarez responsible for orchestrating Erickson's death, based on a January 2008 ruling at the Palo Alto County Courthouse in Emmetsburg.Castillo-Alvarez awaited appeal while serving a 50-year sentence for second-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony.
