Swine flu could be more than a health crisis

• It will complicate President Barack Obama's plans to pass a comprehensive U.S. immigration reform plan this year. The swine flu crisis will intensify pressures from anti-immigration groups to close the border, which may make it more difficult for U.S. legislators to vote for a bill that would include a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented migrants.

Over 2,500 Mexican citizens are ill with the H1N1 virus and at least 168 have died since the first case was diagnosed. In the U.S., there are now 133 reported cases in eleven states and a 2-year-old Mexican toddler in Houston has died from the disease.
How is this for contradiction?
On Monday, the U.S. Embassy in Mexico barred entry to its perimeter, effectively erecting a secure border, while President Obama, by keeping the Southern Border open, denies the same level of protection for the American people.
Whether it is (1) terrorism, (2) a wounded drug addicted nation, (3) the cross Border bloody Mexican drug war, (4) human and arms trafficking; or now (5) the Mexican Swine Flu pandemic, at the highest level of our government no stone is left un-turned and no dollars remains un-spent – except if it involves securing the border.
President Obama is no different from former President Bush in this respect.
Obama has asked Congress for $1.5 billion to fight the spread of the virus, but has made it clear through his DHS Secretary that securing the Border is not on the table.
Keep in mind that DHS has allowed millions with tuberculosis, hepatitis and many other dangerous deceases such as the plague, to sneak into the country by the millions under the Bush and now the Obama administration - by refusing to secure the borders.

Islam
WE HAVE NO way of determining which Muslims subscribe to pure Islam. The reason this matters is that pure Islam is seditious. Islamic doctrine is more political than religious, and its sole political goal is the domination of Islam over all over religions and all governments.
It is a Muslim's religious duty to achieve that political goal.
When Muslims move to a country, a certain percentage of them start agitating for special considerations. They start to organize and influence the nation politically in a way that is good for Islam and bad for freedom and equality. When the percentage of the Muslims in a nation's population becomes high enough, they gain so much political power that freedoms and rights begin to disappear. (Watch this video to learn more.)
Given all this, until we have a way of determining who is dedicated to pure Islam, no more Muslims should be allowed to immigrate into free countries.
Does this seem extreme? It's not as bad as it might seem. We already choose who can immigrate and who cannot. We make the rules. This is our country, after all. We are not under any obligation to allow anyone to immigrate who wants to. They do it with our blessing or they don't do it.
So this policy is simply adding to the already-existing filter.

Howard Zinn's Revisionist History Text
He was involved in the civil rights movement while at Spellman and the anti-war movement during Vietnam. He counted among his friends Noam Chomsky, as well as the Berrigan brothers and Daniel Ellsburg, with whom he went to Hanoi to escort three returning POWs. The North Vietnamese wanted liberal sympathizers to be the escorts, and Zinn received official approval from the U.S. enemy.
Why should we think it heroic to do as Columbus did, arrive in this hemisphere and carry on a rampage of violence, in order to find gold? Why should we think it heroic for Andrew Jackson to drive Indians out of their land? Why should we think of Theodore Roosevelt as a hero because he fought in the Spanish-American war, driving Spain out of Cuba, but also paving the way for the United States to take control of Cuba?
Perhaps the most lasting "achievement" of Zinn's writing is to deprive young readers the opportunity to feel that they are part of the greater continuing story of American exceptionalism. His book inspires guilt, and forces the reader to feel that success must come only through exploitation. Zinn denies historical process and negates hope for the future. He belittles patriotism and never allows pride of person or place.
