Minutemen Kick Off October Border Event at Rally in Washington, DC

.....  Contrary to recent reports in the media, the MCDC has greatly expanded since April of 2005 to put forth a strong national effort with thousands of registered volunteers to assist in securing this nation’s borders from illegal entry.   Chris Simcox introduced the Vietnam Veterans and Gulf War Coalition and Rolling Thunder at the event as active supporters of Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. These large veterans groups are placing volunteers on the border to participate in our October efforts to secure the border and report illegal activity to the Border Patrol. ..........Supporters of open borders and illegal immigration were outside of the event protesting our right to peaceably assemble. They tried to block the entrance with bicycles chained together, but the U.S. Capitol Police were there to break up the blockade. They continued throughout the evening shouting “racist” through their bullhorns, but were unable to disrupt the event........

Secure borders: the hot issue
Newsday, LI, NY Thu, 29 Sep 2005
The sleeper issue in the 2008 presidential election is immigration. Actually, as a recent straw poll shows, it's waking up.  Since the 1960s, the elites in both parties have been solidly pro-immigration. Democrats, for their part, have figured they could burnish their anti-racism, pro-multiculturalist credentials by opening America's borders to the world's teeming masses.  During this period, the vision of "affirmative action" - special help for the mostly black disadvantaged - morphed into a new vision, "diversity." The idea behind such diversity was not a temporary compensation for the needy, but rather a permanent balkanization of the country, based on ethnicity...................

...The following important news was announced by the office of the New Jersey State Attorney General (NJ AG): State orders cops to help U.S. immigration agents.(1) That was the headline. Unfortunately, once you read the article you will discover that New Jersey's elected officials and police departments are desperately trying to 'weasel out' of the ruling. All of the following point/counterpoint commentary reveals the sad and pathetic gymnastics exercised by those in power, to avoid following the AG's ruling. Keep in mind that these are the very people responsible for the enforcement of our country's laws.  Read it, and weep for America!     ...The pronouncements of the NJ Attorney General and the response to it, exposes the disgraceful  abdication by our governance and law enforcement to do their sworn constitutional duty to stop the illegal alien invasion of our country and enforce our immigration laws.....
