Phone Jam to Shut Down the Minutemen Recruiting Drive!

Call American Legion Hall Post #94 and demand that this meeting be

The Minutemen Project, a Conservative anti-immigration group with
strong links to, and overlapping membership with, violent
white supremacist and neo-Nazi organizations has announced plans to
hold a recruitment meeting in Babylon, NY on Saturday, September 10,
2005.

The meeting, scheduled to take place at the Babylon American
Legion Hall (22 Grove Place, Babylon, NY 11702), is set to feature
Chris Simcox, founder of the Minutemen Project, as the main
speaker. Simcox is the gun-toting founder of the group, which since
April has been arming itself, wandering the U.S.-Mexican border in
search of "illegal immigrants", and detaining individuals at gunpoint.
Minutemen have openly discussed setting up sniper posts near the
border, with the goal of shooting anyone attempting to cross.

Contrary to its claims, the Minutemen Project does not promote a
policy of immigration reform. Instead, they promote a program of hate
and intolerance; an extremist policy of stopping all non-white
immigration into this country. They are a xenophobic group that blames
immigration for everything that they are unhappy with. Most recently,
Minutemen have been claiming that illegal immigrants are responsible
for the sudden rise in gas prices in the United States. Talk about
stupid!

The Minutemen have well-established ties to known white supremacist
groups. Minutemen co-founder Jim Gilchrist has been involved with the
neo-Nazi affiliated Council of Conservative Citizens for a number of
years. In addition, members of the infamous National Alliance have
claimed membership in the Minutemen Project and were identified
participating in border "patrols" last spring and summer with the
group. Over the years, the National Alliance has been tied to numerous
violent crimes, such as the assassination of a Jewish radio host in
Denver, and several high-profile robberies. The National Alliance has
the dubious distinction of claiming Timothy McVeigh – the man
responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing – as a supporter.

On July 30th, the Minutemen-allied group, Save Our State, held an
anti-immigrant rally in California. Numerous members of
white supremacist groups attended this rally, and were caught on film
carrying flags emblazoned with Nazi swastikas and Confederate
insignia. They were also seen repeatedly giving Nazi salutes. One of
the neo-Nazis who had been holding a swastika flag was also
photographed holding a "Save Our State" banner. So much for plausible
deniability!

We call upon everyone who is concerned about this meeting to telephone
the American Legion Hall and demand that it be canceled. We will not
stand idly by while neo-Nazis are allowed to organize in our
community. We are calling for an emergency phone jam of the hall, and
are letting it be known that if the meeting is not canceled, the
community will be out in force to protest these fascist scum!

Call the American Legion Hall at 631-669-0094 and let them know how
you feel about them laying out the welcome mat for fascists. Please
forward this message widely – together we can shut them down!!

Listen up people...

The Minutemen are NOT racists, nazis, fascists, white supremacists or hate mongers, they DO NOT detain Mexicans at gunpoint nor do they steal water from Arizona and isn't water free anyway???

The sole purpose for the Minutemen is to help AID the Border Patrol since the government won't give them the extra help it needs. The role of the Minutemen is to OBSERVE illegals crossing the border and report it to the Border Patrol so that they can take action. There is NO physical contact between the Minutemen and the illegals coming in.

The Minutemen, as well as myself, are not opposed to other races, however, what we are opposed to is our hard earned money that gets taken away by taxes that help pay for people who are in need of financial aid. Illegals fall into that category. We also are opposed to the fact that illegals do not pay taxes like the rest of us hard working Americans do. Is that fair?

As for the people that think it's a good thing for illegals to keep coming into America, they should be the ones that have to give up their money to aid them and the rest of us that think otherwise should be exempt. Does that sound like a fair plan? How about all the people that are for illegal immigration, also be assigned several illegals and pay their taxes every year in addition to their own.

We are all for immigration, there is still a lot we can learn and gain from people of other cultures, but is it fair to all the other LEGAL immigrants that had to “wait in line” to obtain citizenship for illegals to come here and “cut the line”?
If the illegals claim to love working and or live here, than why don’t they show us the respect by abiding our laws?

People should do their homework before posting messages about topics and people they don't even know anything about, when you have experienced or seen things first hand, then you can open your mouth and make a fair and just remark.
