Dear Friends,

The New Jersey Tea Party Coalition has some exciting news from Tuesday nights’ meeting. But first, we would like to share the following quote with you:

 

“Tea Party rallies are like pep rallies prior to sporting events. They are great for building excitement, but they do not win games. The actual game in politics is Getting-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) to win elections and this is accomplished with Neighborhood Organizing”

 

…well, we all love the excitement of going to the rallies!  Then, we get back home and we wonder what to do.  We have a new initiative and we need your help!

 

The new initiative is – Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV)

 

…sounds complicated, doesn’t it?  NO!  We have a simple; proven approach that everyone can take part in!  Did you know that with as little as one vote per precinct elections have been lost in prior elections…this is how we were saddled with Jimmy Carter!  We don’t even want to mention how few votes per precinct got Barack Obama elected!

 

We need each of you to respond to this email and hopefully volunteer…We need to take back this Country!  Everyone can do something!  All it takes is as little or as much time as you can spare, and best of all NO SPECIAL SKILLS are needed, everyone can take part in some way!  Your involvement can be as simple as calling your neighbors, to as detailed as leading the effort in your town.  We need you, your friends, and your neighbors.  We hope we still have your attention…

 

The simple plan is to get the voters in the precincts (your neighborhood) and encourage them to vote conservative.  We will teach you to identify like-minded neighbors and make sure they vote…This is important here…it is informed, passionate, volunteers who win elections . . . . Not in Washington . . . . But right in their neighborhoods!

We would like to introduce Anna Vreeland the new GOTV Chairman.  She has been with the NJ Tea Party Coalition since the first rally in Hackensack…but since now it is time to do something…Anna has really stepped up to the plate with real enthusiasm in the new role of GOTV Chairman.

 

We need you to join in the effort.  Simply responding is the first step you must take.  After we hear from you, we will share the plan with you and invite you to a workshop session to get the details of the plan.
