"The Manchurian President: Barack Obama's Ties to Communists, Socialists and other Anti-American Extremists" officially was released last week. The new title from WND senior reporter and WABC Radio host Aaron Klein skyrocketed to No. 1 on the non-fiction list at Amazon.com.
With almost 900 citations, the book bills itself as the most exhaustive investigation ever performed into Obama's political background and radical ties. Klein's co-author is historian and researcher Brenda Elliott .
High Crimes: White House Accused of Using Bribery to Preserve Senate Majority
For the second time in five months, the Obama White House is being accused — by Democrats — of offering high ranking government jobs in return for political favors. What no one is reporting is that this is a violation of federal law that can lead to prison time, a fine or both, according to Title 18, Chapter 11, Section 211 of the United States Code. The newest allegation has been made by Congressman Joe Sestak (D-Pa.), who has launched a promising primary challenge against the Pennsylvania party-switcher, Arlen Specter. While being interviewed by talk-show host Larry Kane, Sestak was asked about whether he had been offered a job to exit the race and, appearing “a little surprised,” answered “yes.” Writes Kane, “I asked him if the job was Navy Secretary [Sestak is a former Navy admiral]. Did Soros-Owned Ohio Elections Boss Boot Tea Party Candidate Off Ballot Improperly?

Did outspoken left-winger Jennifer Brunner, an ACORN-friendly Ohio elections chief who previously defied federal election law, improperly boot a Tea Party candidate off the Republican primary ballot for state attorney general?
The disqualified candidate, attorney Steve Christopher, would have been going up against former U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine (R-Ohio), a member of the Ohio GOP establishment, in the May 4 vote. Christopher is a life member of the National Rifle Association and founder of the Hardin County Tea Party. DeWine, who was somewhere between a liberal and a mushy moderate on key issues while he served in the U.S. Senate, is called a RINO (Republican In Name Only) by his critics in the GOP.
Christopher’s campaign claims legal funny business is preventing him from participating in the Republican primary for Ohio state attorney general in May. The dispute hinges on approximately 2,000 signatures on nominating petitions that, according to Christopher, vanished into thin air after being filed with the office of Brunner, the state’s liberal Democratic secretary of state. Understanding the Arizona Law SB1070
I am State Senator Russell Pearce the author or SB1070 which was signed by Governor Jan Brewer. Fear mongering and mis-information is the tool of the left against this common sense legislation.
Aside from the unfounded accusation of racial profiling, the chief complaint about the bill is that it infringes on federal jurisdiction by enforcing laws.
However, there is a long legal precedent going back to 1976 that allows states to pass legislation to discourage illegal immigration so long as it does not conflict with federal law. SB 1070 was specifically designed to mirror federal immigration law to avoid such a conflict.

Avoid California avocados and buy Florida avocados, certainly not Mexican. There are usually little tags on them noting their origin.
I will not go to any theater or show where I would buy a ticket for anything produced in California. I'll spend those dollars at a local sports event.
Also, being a wine drinker mostly I found the attached website that describes several Arizona wineries that I can't wait to try out. I won't buy California wine.
When choosing an Arizona wine, read up on the winery to see if they are using any California grapes in their blends. You can find them that are pure Arizona.

Officers graduate after rigorous four-week off-site training

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Thirty-two state and local law enforcement officers on Thursday attended a graduation ceremony for completing a rigorous four-week training under U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) "287(g) program."
The training and the graduation ceremony were held at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, S.C. Following the graduation, ICE deputized these 32 officers, which allows them to enforce federal immigration law under ICE's supervision, which is authorized through section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

A state board gave the green light today for a citizens' group to begin collecting petition signatures to put an issue on the fall ballot that supporters say is needed to rein in government gone astray.
Among other things, the Ohio Sovereignty Amendment would allow juries to nullify laws; expand the right to bear arms and maintain militias; permit recall of elected officials by petition signatures alone; ban federal enforcement of laws except through a county sheriff; and require all public school operations through the 12th grade be regulated only at the local district level.
"I think it's about time we get back on track because the government is running our country into the ground," said Michael Young of The Peoples Constitution Coalition of Ohio, which is seeking the amendment. "It's always been the duty of the people to hold government accountable, but we've failed in that duty."
The Ohio Ballot Board voted 3-1 to certify the proposed constitutional amendment as a single issue, clearing the way for the group to start circulating petition forms with the goal of putting the issue on the Nov. 2 ballot. The board did not determine whether the proposal would be constitutional or legal.
