The problem with comprehensive immigration reform
is that those who advocate it have no interest in real border security or the enforcement of our immigration laws.
This includes our elected officials.
When an amnesty was passed during the Reagan years our government promised that this would be a one time only "amnesty" and thereafter our immigration laws would be enforced.
This time around "they" are not even promising enforcement or border security.
Not all foreign trespassers are nice people who just want to find a better way of life.
And that is the reason that countries have borders and immigration laws.
Amnesty will give legalization to every middle Eastern terrorist and a path to citizenship; including every foreign criminal and pervert that has snuck into this country or overstayed their visas.
Don't forget the drug cartels and MS 13.
