I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I
can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will
not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do,
I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God,
I will do." ~ Edward Everett Hale

Only the United States Senate stands in the way of what the Wall Street Journal calls “the biggest tax in American history.”
But in actuality, it has little to do with the environment and instead is a means to deprive you of your income, control your behavior and repress your liberties.

Congressmen who took a position against American workers by voting against e-Verify should be arrested and tried for treason and removed from office.
Any other government officials who oppose e-verify should also be removed form office.
Congressional strategy for the future Implementation of a future blanket Amnesty for all illegal aliens.
They are throwing us a couple of bones to placate us.
E-verify for Feds only. What about the private sector?
They have just approved in the Senate the use of e-verify to screen federal employees only.
If they were really sincere about protecting jobs for Americans during this economic crisis why are they arguing that it shouldn't be MANDATORY in every business throughout America?

Border Fence - Big deal. They just passed a law to say that they will do something that they already said they would do in a previous bill but never completed the project.

True Immigration Reform Passed - But Will It Survive R-O-P-E Hanging?
R-O-P-E is my short-hand for where all federal power is currently concentrated: Reid-Obama-Pelosi-Emanuel (White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel).
But, based on our information from inside Congress, we should expect that Senate Leader Reid, House Speaker Pelosi and Pres. Obama have every intention of killing these amendments in a backroom maneuver when the joint Conference Committee negotiates the final bill to be sent to the President.

Senate Passes Sessions' E-Verify Amendment
Updated Friday, July 10, 2009, 9:00 AM
On July 8, the Senate passed by voice vote an amendment offered by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) that would require all federal contractors to check the eligibility of all new hires through E-Verify. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) tried to table the amendment, but the motion was defeated 44-to-53, allowing the passage of the amendment. The amendment also calls for a permanent reauthorization of E-Verify, which is set to expire in September.

Prepare now to kill the Congressional Amnesty when it comes
If 10 of these 13 Senators continue to put American workers first in their voting, they spell absolute doom for plans to legalize 12-20 million illegal aliens with an amnesty.
E-Verify won today because these Senators -- who voted to kill the E-Verify mandate in March -- switched today and voted for using E-Verify to keep illegal aliens out of federal contractor jobs.
Kent Conrad (D-N.D.)
Bryon Dorgan (D-N.D.)
Kay Hagan (D-N.C.)
Mary Landrieu (D-La.)
Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.)
Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.)
Mark Pryor (D-Ark.)
John Rockefeller (D-W.Va.)
All of you who live in those states -- especially North Dakota and Arkansas -- take a bow. Thanks for all you have done to help these Senators see the error of their March vote.
5 OTHER DEMOCRATS WHO VOTED TO HIRE AMERICANS
We have to give special thanks to the Democrats who stood with us and unemployed Americans today, because they had to defy their Party leadership to do it.
These Democrats voted for mandating E-Verify both today and back in March:
Max Baucus (D-Mont.)
Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.)
Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.)
Ben Nelson (D-Neb.)
John Tester (D-Mont.)
If 10 of these 13 Senators continue to put American workers first in their voting, they spell absolute doom for plans to legalize 12-20 million illegal aliens with an amnesty.
If you live in their states, do all you can to express your appreciation for what they did today -- and encourage them to stop all government policies that import foreign workers while 15 million Americans are officially unemployed.
TWO SENATORS WHO WERE BACKSLIDERS TODAY
Evan Bayh (D-Ind.)
Jim Webb (D-Va.)
Sen. Webb and Sen. Bayh were 2 of the 7 Democrats who voted for E-Verify back in March. Why did they turn against it today and vote to table it?
Webb is known as a maverick. Bayh makes a big deal about how he doesn't toe the Party line. Are they being lap dogs for the Democratic leadership on E-Verify? Or is there some business group that is calling the shots for each of them? Why are these two siding with the 8 million illegal aliens who currently hold jobs? What changed?
There was one more backslider today:
