Mr. Snowflack . . . In reference to your comment: The mayor, who generally speaking restrained himself, slipped up once and called the protesters, "Communists and Marxists." Huh? Was this round two of the Cold War? Did Che Guevara reincarnate himself as a day laborer? It may have been the heat. you apparently haven't done your homework.
The Communists and Marxists are BEHIND the illegal alien, open borders crowd. And that includes the ACLU which was founded by an avowed Communist: The following is a quote from the founder Roger Baldwin: "I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property [that's his social group], the abolition of the propertied class [that's us], and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal".(1)

I am the author of Fighting Immigration Anarchy: American Patriots Battle to Save the Nation ( www.fightingimmigrationanarchy.com). I live in the Los Angeles area, which I call the capital of Mexifornia.
Regarding your July 29 editorial, you are correct, more elected officials should have turned out for protests against illegal immigration in your area.
I attend anti-illegal immigration protests here in Southern California. However, pro-borders, pro-sovereignty elected officials do not join our events. Patriotic, everyday Americans of different backgrounds and skin colors do.
As for Mayor Cresitello "slipping up once" when he called the protesters "Communists and Marxists," it is important to remember that Karl Marx wrote in his Communist Manifesto: "The Communists are further reproached with desiring to abolish countries and nationalities."
As I wrote in my book, the Ford Foundation in 1968 created the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) and the National Council of La Raza (The Race, meaning those of Mexican descent) to strengthen the "ethnic identity" of newly arrived immigrants, legal and illegal, from south of the border rather than aid their assimilation into the American mainstream. La Raza's president at that time was Maclovia Barraza, a life-long Communist.
