Illegal aliens have overrun the Arizona/Mexico border. An understaffed, underfunded, and overwhelmed Border Patrol cannot begin to keep up with this onslaught. While all this is going on, Border Patrol agents salaries are being cut and their hours are being cut back because our Commissioner refuses to sign an overtime cap waiver, new hires proposed by the Bush Administration don't even keep up with attrition, and our mission has been largely sold out by pandering politicians who incessantly talk about "guest-worker" (AMNESTY) programs, making it likely that millions of illegal aliens like those above are here to stay. Let's not forget our Union affiliate, the money-grubbing AFL-CIO, who puts on shams like the disgraceful "Illegal Immigrant Freedom Ride" in a shameless effort to expand their money base.

Anyone who thinks that terrorists can't come in almost at will through our porous borders needs a serious reality check. 3-16-05
