The purpose of borders and immigration laws is to keep the bad guys out.
For many years consecutive Administrations in Washington have failed to secure our southern international Border. The people of the State of Arizona are no longer willing to put up with the illegal alien invasion and the drugs, crime and violence that comes with that invasion. If America wants foreigners to bus their tables and cut their grass, etc they are going to have to get used to legals only.
The purpose of borders and immigration laws is to keep the bad guys out and only let in those that are approved. Border and immigration laws are simply a matter of common sense and exist for the safety and security of the American people.
The Federal government is imploding: they do too much of what they shouldn't do, as in unconstitutional and not enough of what they should do as in securing our borders and enforcing our immigration laws. The future success of America lies in the states taking back their founding and constitutional roles. Arizona is now leading the way.

Arizona State Law SB1070 and Hezbollah
For at least four years, the Hispanic American Center for Economic Research has been keeping an eye on a Hezbollah militia that has taken root in South America in the what’s known as the tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. According to reports, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration officials say Hezbollah is relying on “the same criminal weapons smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels.”

Reportedly, the federals in Washington don’t like the state law. Well, tough, they had years to do something about the situation on the border but did nothing. It’s still not too late for the feds to do the right thing and recall Arizona’s National Guard from Afghanistan and put them on the border where they belong. We would welcome them.

Obama Assails Arizona Immigration Law
In an unusual White House attack on state legislation, President Barack Obama harshly criticized an Arizona measure to crack down on illegal immigration and made clear Friday that he is looking for an election-year fight over the volatile issue.
Hours later, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the nation's toughest immigration law, making illegal immigration a state crime and requiring police to question people about their immigration status if officers suspect they are in the U.S. illegally.
Brewer, a Republican, said the state action was forced by Washington's failure to secure the U.S. borders and solve the nation's thorny illegal immigration problem. "Decades of inaction and misguided policy have created a dangerous and unacceptable situation," she said.

An argument to be made about immigrant babies and citizenship
A simple reform would drain some scalding steam from immigration arguments that may soon again be at a roiling boil. It would bring the interpretation of the 14th Amendment into conformity with what the authors of its text intended, and with common sense, thereby removing an incentive for illegal immigration.

New Arizona Immigration Law Makes Sense
Yesterday, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a bill that would make it a state crime to be in the U.S. illegally and would allow state law enforcement to require individuals to produce proof that they are in the U.S. legally. This decision is a major stepping stone in terms of encouraging other states, as well as local governments, to assert themselves in terms of immigration policy.
